Dandy Bag Sediment Inlet Filters
The Dandy Bag is the patented flagship of the range, and the widest-fitting: five round sizes and twelve rectangular, covering flat grates, round grates and mountable curbs. You can tell it is a Dandy the moment you open it up.
The mechanism is settlement. The grate is enclosed inside the bag, incoming flow is slowed, and suspended solids drop out of that slowed water and are captured by the highly visible orange monofilament geotextile before reaching the inlet — which is what delivers regulatory compliance performance rather than moving the problem downstream.
Round grates are the reason most people end up with badly fitting inlet protection. Squaring a round grate with a rectangular bag leaves gaps at the corners. Five true round sizes remove that compromise.

How do I work out which size I need?
Measure the grate the bag will enclose. Rectangular sizes are given as grate dimensions; round sizes are the grate diameter. Seventeen sizes cover 23″ through 48″.
Do you have round sizes?
Five of them — 23″, 24″, 28″, 36″ and 39″ diameters. Use the round shape rather than forcing a rectangular bag onto a round grate.
Is this the right product for my inlet?
It is, for flat grates, round grates and mountable curbs. For a curb and gutter inlet with a grate, the Dandy Curb Bag adds a dam edge. For an opening with no grate, use a Dandy Curb.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, five units, in any mix of the seventeen sizes, round or rectangular.
What does shipping cost?
