Dandy Curb Sediment Inlet Filters
Grate-mounted inlet protection has an obvious blind spot: it cannot address an inlet that has no grate. The Dandy Curb exists for exactly that — curb inlets and median inlets that are simply an opening in the curb face.
Rather than enclosing anything, the unit lays against the opening and is held by an aggregate-filled pouch on the street side. That ballast does two jobs: it keeps the unit in place through a storm event, and it creates a seal between the unit and the street surface so flow passes through the geotextile rather than underneath it.
Seven lengths from 4 to 16 feet. Size on the opening plus the overhang, not the opening alone — the unit is centered so an equal length extends past each side.

What length do I need?
Measure the inlet opening, then add the overhang. The unit is centered so an equal length extends past each side of the opening, so the length required is the opening plus that overhang — not the opening alone.
What holds it in place?
Aggregate. A Velcro access pouch on the street side is filled with aggregate to a level that keeps the unit in place during an event and seals it against the street surface.
Is this the right product for my inlet?
It is, if the inlet has no grate. If there is a grate, it goes inside a bag instead — a Dandy Curb Bag for curb and gutter inlets, or a Dandy Bag for flat and round grates.
Is there a minimum order?
Yes, five units, in any mix of the seven lengths.
